1950 Packard
I am parting out this car now rather than selling it. Soon I will have pics and prices of some of the components. If you are interested in anything, please contact me.
The engine
is free and can be turned by hand. The overdrive transmission and differential
are also in the car, and appear to be original and unmolested.
This car was last licensed in 1962, and has 74,216 miles showing on the
odometer. The person whom I purchased it from stated that it was driven in the
early 90's.
I will try to describe the car as best as possible. This car is "field
fresh", it could serve as an excellent parts car, or restore as you see
fit.
The front grill is in nice condition with minor pitting, nice shine, and sports
a very nice Packard emblem. The front grill moldings are all pretty nice with
minor pitting except the lower center one which is broken. The front bumper is
very solid, needs chrome will need minor straightening. Very easy bumper to
redo. The front optional master grill guard has some damage but should be able
to be restored easily. Headlamp rings are very nice. The park lamp lenses are
not cracked and in good shape.
The left fender is very nice, no rust through. All panels have some surface
rust. The right fender is solid, it has been pushed in by the wheel opening. It
could be easily repaired. The hood is good with a few minor dents. Left front
door is good, right front door is good, left rear door is good, but it does have
a 1/4 inch hole in it by the upper molding from a bullet? The right rear door is
good. The left quarter is good except for some rust by the rear bumper end. The
right quarter is good. The rocker panels are rusted. The passenger compartment
floor is rusted. The rear door opening frame has some rust up by the strikers.
The roof is in good shape. The trunk is good, and the trunk floor appears to be
good.
This car has an exterior sunvisor which is in very good condition. Some side
glass pieces are cracked but overall the glass is in good condition.
The rear bumper is very rechromable. The rear bumper guard does have some
damage, but again should be very restorable. The trunk handle is nice, and so is
the trunk emblem. The taillight lenses are good, the bezels are nice with minor
pitting. The back up lamps are pretty good, the left lens is cracked. They do
sit at an angle for some reason. The rear body panel does have some damage. The
license lamp is cracked, the bezel is nice with minor pitting.
The spotlamp is dented and cracked.
The interior is rough. All upholstery will have to be replaced. The dash looks
to be complete, the only parts missing are the front kick panels. The steering
wheel is black, but cracked. The steering wheel emblem is very nice.
All hubcaps are nice, and include the trim rings. Even the spare tire has a
hubcap, and appear to be original.
This car has a ND title. The car is listed as a 49 two door on the title
however. The serial number matches the car, so it should be able to get
straightened out.
There are a LOT of good parts on this car. If you have any questions, you can

and weekends only.
Thanks for looking!!!
