SR 440 Mercury

I actually have two of these.  One 1974 and a 1975.

The 75 I have owned since about 1979.  I have not ridden it since about 1982, and never did ride it much because of clutch and starting issues.  Looking back I realize the crank seals are bad.  At the time it sure seemed fast when it did run!!  But, I always have had a soft spot for Mercs even before I knew of the sno-twisters.  Maybe because they are a little different?

I also have just purchase a 1974 SR 440.

I guess I plan on evaluating what I actually have between the two sleds.  They may become one, or if I decide it is feasible, I will get both of them going.  These will probably not become show sleds, just some fun sleds to bounce around on:)

The "New" 74!

I finally have the 74 home.  I have ridden it, and it runs pretty decent.  I little TLC to do, and get some "action" pictures!

I don't have any pictures of the 75.  It is still tucked away, and will probably remain that way for a little while.
